Board & Train
There is no 'one size fits all'.
Every family's dog and situation is unique. My promise to you is that I will use a training approach best suited for your dog, and your situation. My goal is not to command your dog. It is to open the lines of communication between owner and dog, and create an understanding and partnership.

HCC's in-home board and train program is by far the most popular, comprehensive, and acclaimed program we offer. My board and train program teaches your dog appropriate manners and behaviors in real-world situations, around other dogs, inside and outside the home. Your dog will go on trips with me, and learn how to have fun without the stress of confusion often created by not having an understanding of what we consider good dog behavior.
Benefits
Faster Results

Your dog learns directly from a professional and receives several hours of hands-on training each day. In total your dog will get between 90 and 120 hours of contact training time during his or her stay.
Immersive Learning

Your dog spends the entire day in a controlled and structured environment where every decision is guided and reinforced. Many dogs find this type of environment to be therapeutic.
Less Stress

You allow me to work through the challenging early stages of training and the tedious repetition that you may not have time to consistently apply.
Enhanced Customization

The amount of time I spend with your dog in the Board and Train program allows me to get to know him or her on a much deeper level. This way I can develop specific strategies and exercises directly targeted toward each individual. This is especially valuable in difficult behavioral cases.
Reduced Correction

by teaching desired behaviors, exorcising large numbers of repetition which often extinguishes problematic behavior without conflict, combat or stress.
How it Works
21
On average, your dog will stay with me for a minimum of 21 days, up to a maximum of when both you and I are confident in your dog's behavior in any environment.
This means I train your dog to a certain standard, NOT a certain time or dollar amount.
Your dog lives with me and interacts with my friends and family, my dogs and other dogs in training every day and night during their stay and will be looked after 24 hours a day unlike a standard kennel facility. This is a key component your dog can understand, relate and transfer after returning home.
During the Resident / In Home Board and Train, your dog will also be socialized around many other dogs, public places including restaurants, stores, parks and plazas. Your dog will travel in vehicles both confined and open to learn to settle properly.
You will be able to monitor your dog's progress in the program by monitoring our Facebook page and you will receive video clips of special training sessions so you can see for yourself that your pup is making exceptional progress.
When I bring your dog home, I provide one-on-one lessons to the dog's family. I teach you about the training tools I use, how to handle your dog while both on and off leash, and ensure you and your family are confident and knowledgeable with your dog.
If you ever need me again, I am basically on retainer for the life of the dog. All you have to do is call me, and I will help you until we get a desired result out of the dog.
